Novelization of the 1933 movie, directed by Merian C. Cooper & Ernest B. Schoedsack, screenplay by James Creelman & Ruth Rose from a story by Edgar Wallace & Merian C. Cooper.
Initially, Cooper hired Wallace to write the screenplay and the novel simultaneously, in order to promote the movie as "based on the novel by", but Wallace died unexpectedly while revising the first draft of his treatment.
