Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America
Nonprofit organization of professional science fiction and fantasy writers in the United States, founded in 1965 by Damon Knight. Originally named just Science Fiction Writers of America, in 1992 the name was changed to Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, although the acronym SFWA was retained.
