Randolph Denard Ornette Coleman was an American jazz saxophonist, violinist, trumpeter, and composer who performed or recorded with many jazz artists of the west coast jazz scene including Scott LaFaro, Eddie Rubin, Stan Levey, and Charlie Haden.
