Diether de la Motte

Diether de la Motte (30 March 1928 in Bonn - 15 May 2010 in Berlin) was a German musician, composer and musicologist. He achieved widespread acclaim for his handbooks on counterpoint, harmony, composition and melody, among others. Most of his works have since become standard students' literature, thanks to his concise didactic methods.
