Boris Vian
French polymath: writer, poet, musician, singer, translator, critic, actor, inventor and engineer. He invented the imaginary American writer <a href="/c/books/credit/108582/Vernon-Sullivan/">Vernon Sullivan</a>, who in the first editions claimed he was the translator of Vernon Sullivan's novels, when in fact he was the author.
