Harold Lamb

Harold Albert Lamb was an American historian, screenwriter, short story writer, and novelist. Lamb spoke French, Latin, Persian, and Arabic. Lamb wrote for the pulp magazine Adventure, his primary fiction outlet for nineteen years. His historical writing included a biography of Genghis Khan and a two-volume history of the Crusades. Lamb also worked as screenwriter for Cecil B. DeMille. The majority of Harold Lamb's work for Adventure was historical fiction, much of it dealing with Cossacks and crusaders.
