UTET

The publishing house was born in Turin in 1791 from the activity of the Pomba Brothers booksellers. In 1854 it took on its current name UTET (Unione Tipografico-Editrice Torinese). In 2002 the publishing house was acquired by the De Agostini Editore Group. Starting from May 2013, the publishing activity relating to Classic books and Non-branded Nonfiction is transferred to De Agostini Libri S.p.A. From 1 January 2017, the ownership of the brand passes to DeA Planeta Libri S.r.l.
