Inter Scaldes (Latin for between the Scheldes) is a restaurant in Kruiningen with three Michelin stars.
The restaurant has had two Michelin stars since 1984, when Maartje Boudeling was still the chef (until 2001). The restaurant retained its two Michelin stars under current chef Jannis Brevet, who published some cookbooks. Claudia Brevet manages the room.
The restaurant is located in a villa, built in the 1930s, just west of Kruiningen in the polder. An outbuilding is used as a hotel with rooms for restaurant guests. A classical English garden has been laid out around the restaurant. On 10 September 2003, a fire broke out in the building, and the restaurant had to close its doors for more than half a year. The restaurant could be reopened on 27 May 2004. The restaurant retained the two Michelin stars.
On December 11, 2017, Michael Ellis of Michelin announced that Inter Scaldes was awarded a third Michelin star in the guide for 2018; it became one of three restaurants in the Netherlands with three stars at that time.
