The AC chart began on July 17, 1961, and this edition contains chart data up until December 29, 2001. New features included: B-sides (next to all singles); pictures of Top 100 artists next to their listing; big hits and hot streaks highlighted; record price guide and picture sleeve guide; Hot 100 Airplay & Sales hits shown in "Pop Position" column; and artists cross referenced in bold type. NOTE: It is worth noting that, in this edition, there is no "+" sign next to the debut date, as there was no mention at all about songs peaking the next year after it debuted The book was dedicated to Joel's daughter Kim Marie and his grandson Nathaniel David, as well as his Record Research employees |
